Not so cheeky chocolate protein brownie

About this Recipe

By: Hollie Kempton – Powered by Vegies

Ok, maybe having a  brownie is cheeky! But this not so cheeky recipe will allow you to enjoy the same flavours as we all know from your favourite chocolate brownie except richer and healthier!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups black beans
  • 1 large bananas (I use a defrosted frozen banana)
  • 3Tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 scoop 180 Natural Protein Superfood Coconut (vegan)
  • 8 Medjool dates
  • 3Tbsp desiccated coconut
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

The Core Ingredients!

Bananas are an excellent source of potassium and supply vitamin B6, fibre and carbohydrate, and some vitamin C. Since they have a lower water content than most fruit, bananas typically have more calories as well as a higher sugar content compared to other non-tropical fruits.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
Take seed out of dates and place in a bowl topped with boiling water

Step 2

Soak dates for 5mins and drain
Line baking tin with baking paper
Place all ingredients in food processor and process

Step 3

Add chopped pecans or walnuts

Pour mixture into tin

Bake for approximately 25mins or until a skewer comes out clean.
