My name is Hollie and this is my first time writing a blog about what I am super passionate about: Health and Nutrition.
I am a home chef for my family and friends and everything I have learnt in the kitchen is self-taught or the result of a few kitchen disasters!
I want my blog to show you how easy and delicious healthy food is. No more boring salads of icky limp lettuce. I am all about the full flavour of natures bounty like: splendid desserts, raw treats and fruit and vegies in every colour of the rainbow. I want to
give you the tools you need to nourish your body without guilt or deprivation. I don’t want you feeling starved or “hangry”, because I turn into a food monster and I know you have met this kind of monster before.
I can fully understand how daunting the idea of changing your diet is, but it’s most certainly the best thing I have ever done. I feel like I am finally giving my body the love and health that it deserves and I am bubbling with energy. My taste buds have changed and I will now take a delicious home cooked curry over fast food any day!
When I decided that I would follow a whole food plant based diet I really felt that I had found what is best for me. I am the kind of person that needs to feel full, not sick or bloated. I consume a high volume of vegetables, beans and fruit to give me the energy that I need to make it through my busy schedule.
I want to show people what its like to be Powered by Vegies and share my knowledge and recipes that I have learnt so far on my journey.
